Following last year’s critically-acclaimed ‘PREVIOUSLY UNRELEASED’ PLAYGROUP album a compilation of tracks taken from a series of 9 X 12” vinyl EPs released in late 2016, a second volume will be available as a limited edition double CD featuring 20 tracks and a 23 track digital collection, on November 3rd on Yes Wave records.
Consisting of mainly of totally unheard tracks and 9 previously only available on vinyl, the music featured is a collection of reworked demos and unreleased recordings. This hedonistic mix of raw disco, dub, funk, dancehall electro, new wave and post punk still sounds as relevant today as it did when initially recorded for the debut PLAYGROUP album from 1997 to 2001.
